Want to gather with your fellow earthlings in celebration of this acorn abundance? process nuts/process feelings? feast on forged foods? share stories and learn of acorn lineages around the world?
Join us Sunday, April 6 from 1 to 4 PM for an acorn processing party in Nevada City, hosted by Kira Greene of Quercus Collective.
Six months will have passed since we harvested the abundance of black oak acorns, and it’s time to get crackin. Let’s celebrate spring with something that looks not unlike an egg and equally represents fertility!
We will be spending the afternoon at a private home 20 minutes from Nevada City (Nisenan territory). Snacking on acorn treats, learning oak lore from native Californian and European lineages, and sharing tips and tricks for cracking these nuts open without hurting ourselves.
Spaces are limited and pre-registration is required.
Date: Sunday April 6
Time: 1-4pm
Location: private residence 20 minutes from Nevada City (address will be given to you after purchase)
Cost: $20-$40 sliding scale - no one turned away for lack of nuts.
Feel free to reach out if you can't afford a ticket or prefer to pay in cash or trade! If you prefer to pay with Venmo, send it to @kiraogreene.
